Re: mercurial.el and hg-version-other-window hg-version-other window is unimplemented in mercurial.el. The version below works for me, YMMV.

Basic install:

 $ make            # see install targets
 $ make install    # do a system-wide install
 $ hg debuginstall # sanity-check setup
 $ hg              # see help
