Use smerge minor mode in emacs to resolve conflicts.
The condition-case is used to suppress errors with emacs versions before 21.
Basic install:
$ make # see install targets
$ make install # do a system-wide install
$ hg debuginstall # sanity-check setup
$ hg # see help
